Skills at Library covers a range of tools and resources designed to support students and researchers in their academic careers. This page provides quick access to guidance and interactive tutorials under the three themes of 'Finding', 'Checking' and 'Managing'. This includes help with: discovering information, search strategies, fact checking sources, and referencing. Click the Workshops at Library tab to view our open programme of open workshops.
If you’re new to using the library and want an introduction to our services, take a look at our 'Getting Started' guide. If you're based at Colchester Campus, we also have a have a self-guided tour of the physical library space that can be completed online or in person at the Albert Sloman Library. If you are a PGR student or member of academic staff, have a look at our Support for Researchers guide for more in-depth information on citations, publishing, online research profiles, and more.
Looking for more opportunities to develop your skills? Checkout our online and face-to-face Workshops at Library sessions designed to support Essex students and researchers.
