The Africa Leadership Change (ALC) dataset records the ways leaders reach and leave power in the region over time, and allows for investigations into their broader implications. The dataset covers all leaders that held office in all fifty-four African states starting from 1960 (or subsequent year of independence).

Maintained by the Library of Congress, aims to capture the websites & born digital resources of government ministries, institutions and organizations for countries in sub-Saharan Africa, 2014- onwards

Published by the London-based Mo Ibrahim Foundation, it measures the performance of government in 48 African nations South of the Sahara. Five major categories are covered Security; rule of law, transparency and corruption; participation and human rights; sustainable economic development and human development. It is possible to view country data from 2000 onwards.
