Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
Created in 1961 & based in Paris, the OECD comprises 36 countries (mostly economically developed). A forum for governments to develop policies that benefit their populations. Some freely available publications & data, the Library also subscribes to the OECDiLibrary database
World Bank
Established 1944, based in New York, and internationally funded to provide financial & technical assistance to developing countries. Extensive datasets available at https://data.worldbank.org/ and publications available through its Open Knowledge Repository - https://openknowledge.worldbank.org/
Note that the OKR is different from the World Bank eLibrary (which the library does not subscribe to)

Influential organisation, bringing together business, policy makers & others since 1971, in an effort to shape the economic agenda

Think Tanks. Policy Research

The research & publications of reputable think tanks, NGOs, and policy organisations, is often an important complement to academic literature (books and journal articles), especially for research topics that have policy dimensions.

Major independent think tank. Full text of many reports available.
Bruegel
Brussels based think tank (2005-) focused on economic policy (the EU and globally). Has also developed some useful datasets

Overton Policy Documents database
Overton is a portal enabling detailed searches for policy documents. It’s a huge database with records for nearly 6 million documents and links to the full text. It also identifies academic contributions to policy-related research, so can be used to demonstrate impact of academic publications.
