Suggest a resource to add to our collection

The library encourages our users to suggest items for purchase to enhance our collection.

For journal or database suggestions, please speak to your Academic Liaison Librarian. For book suggestions, please submit a purchase suggestion form.

If you would like to suggest a resource needed for one of your modules, please see our page for missing reading list items.

What happens next?

After submitting a purchase suggestion form, you can choose to receive a copy of your request to your Essex email address.

If an e-book is available from our suppliers, we'll aim to provide you with access within two weeks of your request. If we purchase a print book, we'll reserve the item for you and let you know when it arrives. Books which are in-print usually arrive within six to eight weeks of an order being placed by the Library.
