Requesting material on our shelves

Please use our library search to locate items available on the library shelves. Please check our opening hours before visiting.

If you only need a chapter or 5% of the total number of pages, you can try our Scan and Deliver service.

If all copies of a book are on loan, you can reserve a copy.

Getting material the library doesn't have

If there are resources you would like to access that are not available in the library’s collection, you can use the library's interlibrary loans service.

  • You can request a loan for a book or dissertation thesis, or a copy of a book chapter or journal article.
  • This is a useful way to obtain material needed for personal research or study.
  • The library will let you know if we cannot source the item you request.

Please note that we are currently unable to accept general purchase requests, and all requests for material unavailable through the library should be submitted through interlibrary loans as above. If your request is not for personal research or study, and you do not think that an interlibrary loan is suitable, please contact us.
