Get material the library doesn't have

If there is a resource you require which is not available in the library’s collections, we are happy to try to get this for you.

If you are looking for material for your research or personal study, the best option is interlibrary loan. However, we also welcome purchase suggestions from students and staff for new titles to add to our collections.

Please note that during the restrictions put in place due to COVID-19, the library is unable to order or receive any printed material and will only be able to supply books as e-books. We are not able to get all items in this way and will advise on the outcome of any suggestion that is made.

Not sure which option is best for you?

Interlibrary Loan

  • The quickest option to get the resources you need
  • You can request a loan of a book or thesis, or a copy of a specific book chapter or journal article
  • We will let you know if for any reason we cannot source the item you request
  • Used for material needed for research or personal study

Purchase Suggestions

  • The time it takes to receive the item varies
  • The item may be supplied in physical or digital form
  • Making a recommendation guarantees consideration, but does not guarantee purchase
  • If your recommendation is purchased by the library, it will also be available for use by other Library users
