Provides bibliographic data on historical writing dealing with the British Isles, and with the British Empire and Commonwealth, during all periods for which written documentation is available - from 55BC to the present. The database contains over 600,000 records, and is updated three times a year, usually in February, June and October. It includes records for books, articles in books and articles in journals.

Periodicals Archive Online is a major archive providing access to the searchable full text of the backfiles of hundreds of scholarly periodicals in the arts, humanities and social sciences. The database spans more than two centuries of content, 37 key subject areas, and multiple languages.
