Students and staff of the university can book Group Study Rooms and Individual Study Pods for those times when you need to be on a Zoom call or prefer to be in your own space. You can book these spaces here: https://libcal.essex.ac.uk/r  

Please note: Pods and rooms must be booked in advance and are not available for booking same day. These spaces are available first-come-first-served if there is no booking on the day - please check the calendar outside of the space.
 

Group Study Rooms are available on floors 2 - 5 and are suitable for an individual or a group of up to 12 people.

Postgraduate Group Study Room - Postgraduates can book this room located in the Postgraduate Reading Room on the ground floor. This space is suitable for an individual or a group of up to 6 people. To access this room a Postgraduate student ID card is required.

Individual Study Pods, suitable for 1 person, are located on both sides of the 2nd floor. 

You can borrow a laptop from our Laptop Loans service on the ground floor outside the Library Learning Room for use in your study room or pod.

Please remember to keep personal belongings with you at all times and do not leave belongings unattended at study spaces.
