We are running a competition for those that complete our online library tutorial ; if you send us a screenshot of your completion certificate, you will be entered into a prize draw for a goody bag.

1. Students of the University of Essex ("The University") will be invited to complete our online library tutorial ("Tutorial"). If this is completed between 15 October 2020 and 31 October 2020 inclusive, they will be invited to enter a prize draw ("Prize Draw").
2. The prize that is being offered for the Prize Draw is a goody bag which will include Library Services merchandise (subject to availability) and a £10 Amazon voucher.
3. The completer of the Tutorial is eligible to enter the Prize Draw by sending a screenshot of their Certificate of Completion ("Certificate") to us via email at libline@essex.ac.uk.
4. All email entries should come from a University of Essex email address (@essex.ac.uk). Any entries that are received from personal email addresses or through the 'email' option displayed with the Certificate will not be recorded.
5. The winner of the Prize Draw will chosen at random on 01 November 2020 and contacted via the email used to enter.
6. The winner of the Prize Draw is eligible to collect their goody bag from the Albert Sloman Library on Square 5 provided that he/she is currently-registered with the University of Essex.
7. Upon collecting their goody bag, a valid University of Essex registration card must be presented as proof of identification and student status.
8. The University accepts no responsibility for any costs which may be associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.
9. The University accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of completing the Tutorial, entering the Prize Draw or accepting a goody bag. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of the University for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
10. The University reserves the right at anytime and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Prize Draw with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of The University in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. The University shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
12. These terms and conditions will be governed by English law and entrants to the Prize Draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
