Golden Tickets 2019: Home

We will be hiding Golden Tickets around the library; if you find one, you can exchange it on campus for a drink to help you along with your studies.

Colchester T&Cs

1. Students of the University of Essex ("The University") will be invited to participate in a Golden Ticket Hunt("Hunt") which will take place involving a total of 250 Golden tickets ("Tickets") to be hidden in different locations throughout the Albert Sloman Library on various dates between 23 April and 31 December 2019.

2. The finder of a Ticket is eligible to claim a standard drink (any regular-sized hot drink, cold post-mix drink, or bottle of water) from Buffalo Joe's Diner on Square 4 provided that he/she is currently-registered with the University of Essex.

3. Upon redeeming a Ticket at Buffalo Joe's Diner,a valid University of Essex registration card must be presented as proof of identification and student status.

4. The Tickets may only be redeemed in the period 23 April to 31 December 2019.

5. The University accepts no responsibility for any costs which may be associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.

6. Each Ticket may only be used once. All Tickets are non-exchangeable,non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash.

7. The University accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Hunt or accepting a Ticket. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of the University for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.

8. The University reserves the right at anytime and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Hunt with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of the University in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

9. The University shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire,flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities,political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents,supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

10. These terms and conditions will be governed by English law and entrants to the Hunt submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Southend T&Cs

1. Students of the University of Essex("The University") will be invited to participate in a Golden Ticket Hunt ("Hunt") which will take place involving a total of 80 Golden tickets ("Tickets") to be hidden in different locations throughout the Learning Hub of The Forum Library on various dates between 23 April and 30 September 2019.

2. The finder of a Ticket is eligible to claim a standard drink (any regular-sized hot drink, cold drink, or bottle of water) from Nosh cafe in The Forum provided that he/she is a currently-registered student of the University of Essex.

3. Upon redeeming a Ticket at Nosh, a valid University of Essex student registration card must be presented as proof of identification and student status.

4. The Tickets may only be redeemed in the period 23 April to 30 September 2019.

5. The University accepts no responsibility for any costs which may be associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.

Students of the University of Essex("The University") will be invited to participate in a Golden Ticket Hunt ("Hunt") which will take place involving a total of 50 Golden tickets ("Tickets") to be hidden in different locations throughout the Library on various dates between 23 April and 31 December 2017.

2. The finder of a Ticket is eligible to claim a standard drink (any regular-sized hot drink, cold drink, or bottle of water) from the SU cafe in Loughton provided that he/she isa currently-registered student of the University of Essex.

3. Upon redeeming a Ticket at the SU cafe, a valid University of Essex student registration card must be presented as proof of identification and student status.

4. The Tickets may only be redeemed in the period 23 April to 31 December 2019.

5. The University accepts no responsibility for any costs which may be associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.
