From Monday 6th July a ‘click and collect’ service will be running from The Forum library, Southend. The service will allow you to put in requests for up to 7 books either by phone or online and you will then be notified when they are ready for you to collect from The Forum building. Collection will be available between 10am and 2pm Monday to Saturday. This service is ‘click and collect’ only so you will only be able to go to the library to collect pre-ordered items, you will not be able to make requests while at the library or browse the shelves.
Southend Borough Council have also launched a service allowing members of the library to use PCs on the first floor of the Forum. These are not University computers so users will not be able to use free University printing. PCs can be booked for up to one hour at a time and users can pay for council printing services if required. PCs must be booked, this can either be done by phone (01702 215011) or by going to the library during opening hours (10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday) and booking a slot – the council cannot guarantee slots will be available on arrival so you may be asked to return another time.
